Champagne Blend, Laurent Perrier La Cuvée Champagne 0.75L, 12% alc., France
The Laurent Perrier Brut champagne factory was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and it took the name of Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, Eugène Laurent’s widow, put the two names together, aiming at expanding the business. With a high quantity of Chardonnay, which is the emblem of its composition, Laurent-Perrier Brut’s style offers freshness, glow and elegance, a constant recommendation of the qualities Laurent-Perrier had always aimed at.
The blend includes 50% Chardonnay (quite high), 35% Pinot Noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier. This is Laurent Perrier Brut‘s composition. The 75 CL Laurent-Perrier Brut bottle is kept for maturing the drink for at least three years, a considerable amount of time if you think about the 18 compulsory months according to the law. The magnums are aged 4-5 years. This ageing process provides the balance and freshness of the wine naturally.
Laurent Perrier Brut has a golden colour, with a continuous flow of fine and persistent bubbles that are delicate, yet complex, fresh and well-balanced, with hints of citrus and white fruit. Well defined and with expressive aromas, the fruit content in the aroma of this champagne reveals itself gradually, placing an extremely balanced drink in the limelight.
