Limoncello is manufactured in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Puglia, Sicily, Sardinia, Menton in France, and the Maltese island of Gozo.
Limoncello is a liqueur made from lemon juice and rind, by cold processing. It has a delicate, sweet and long-lasting lemon aroma, with nice acidity.
A popular ingredient in cocktails, Limoncello has a strong lemon aroma. Limoncello is traditionally served cold, as a postprandial digestif.
Across the Amalfi Coast, it is usually served in small cold ceramic glasses. This is also the tradition in other Italian places.
