Description

Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur mainly manufactured in southern Italy, particularly around the Gulf of Naples region - the Procida, Ischia and Capri islands, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi coast.

Limoncello is manufactured in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Puglia, Sicily, Sardinia, Menton in France, and the Maltese island of Gozo.

Limoncello is a liqueur made from lemon juice and rind, by cold processing. It has a delicate, sweet and long-lasting lemon aroma, with nice acidity.

A popular ingredient in cocktails, Limoncello has a strong lemon aroma. Limoncello is traditionally served cold, as a postprandial digestif.

Across the Amalfi Coast, it is usually served in small cold ceramic glasses. This is also the tradition in other Italian places.
