Gin Plymouth 41.2% alc., 0.7L, England
Plymouth Gin is a gin with a distant history and an exceptional taste. The brand dates from at least the early 19th century and they say that, before it was a distillery, Plymouth used to be a prison, then a monastery. Plymouth Distillery was also very close to Plymouths Royal William Victualling Yard, so naval officers were always supplied with this rare-quality gin.
It is, indeed, one of the oldest gin brands still produced to this day. As soon as you make contact with Plymouth Gin, you will sense the presence of the juniper, accompanied by angelica, cardamom, and coriander. Its taste is grand and features a balanced mix of angelica, cardamom, lemon, sweet orange, and juniper.
The finish has a very slight hint of citrus, while the angelica and coriander are the last notes to round off the experience. Absolutely wonderful, Plymouth Gin is among the favourite beverages of many.
