Whisky Bourbon Jack Daniel's Master Distiller No. 5, 43% alc., 0.7L, USA
Jack Daniel’s is the most sold whisky on the globe. It is produced by the oldest distillery registered in North America, called Jack Daniel Distillery, founded in 1866 by Jack Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is made from the best raw materials: maize, rye, and malted barley. Its distinguished character is the result of natural fermentation, careful and passionate distillation, and the use of the Cave Springs iron-free water, which springs at a constant temperature of 13-14 degrees Celsius.
The Master Distiller Jack Daniel series has reached its fifth version and is celebrating the fifth distiller of the famous Tennessee whisky: Frank Bobo! Frank was Jack Daniel’s head distiller from 1966 until 1988 and supervised the constant growth in popularity of the Tennessee whisky.
Jack Daniel's No. 5 does not follow a specific calendar, but is only ready to be enjoyed when the company tasters, like Jack Daniel himself, using only their senses, conclude that it has attained the desired quality, which is the secret that makes this whisky just as appreciated today, more than a century from its appearance.
Jack Daniel's No. 5 has a discreet, sweet smell, with fine hints of spices and a slightly smoky aroma. Its taste is velvety, with notes of banana milkshake and a mix of nuts, topped off by a slight hint of caramel and crème anglaise. The finish relishes in the sweetness of cereals and the flavour of oak smoke.
