Whisky Bourbon Jack Daniel's Old No.7 Legacy Edition, 43% alc., 0.7L, USA
Jack Daniel's 1905 Legacy is a famous variety produced by Daniel's distilleries in Tennessee. Aside from its extremely pleasant taste, which has seduced millions, there is another quality for which Jack Daniel's has become notorious along the decades: its iconic label.
But the label has not always been black and white. Some time before 1904, the bottles had an unusual green tint and sported a golden ornament, which was lost over time, as the producers focused more and more on the taste of the beverage rather than the appearance of the bottle.
If you look carefully, you will notice that the label of Jack Daniel's 1905 Legacy does not include the familiar symbol of the gold medal. In 1904, Jack Daniel won the gold at St. Louis World’s Fair and, from that moment onwards, Jack Daniel and his nephew Lem Motlow have always had the medal on the label. A very clever marketing move which also shows us that this green and golden label was produced before 1904.
