Courvoisier VS Cognac, 40% alc., 0.7L, France
Courvoisier VSOP or “the cognac of Napoleon Bonaparte”, as it is known in the world, is a cognac aged for years in fine-grained oak casks from France, which lends it notes that make up a sweet, caramelised flavour, similar to that of roasted almonds.
Courvoisier VSOP is produced through distillation on the lees, which is a complex and meticulous process in itself, but generates notes of fruits and musk while evoking the fragrance of jasmine.
What you get in the end is a classic VSOP cognac matured for 8 to 12 years in a selection of Tronçais and Limousin casks.
