Connemara 12 Year Old Peated Single Malt is inspired by Irish distillation traditions. Connemara 12 Year Old is a truly unique Irish whisky with a sweet taste, an intense malt flavour, and deep notes of peat. Connemara 12 Year Old Peated Single Malt was created by Kilbeggan Distilling Co. and distilled at the Cooley distillery. In short, it is an Irish whisky which has benefitted from the distinctive treatment specific to the Scottish island of Isley.

The barley used in Connemara 12 Year Old was imported from Scotland and then ground, fermented and distilled in Ireland. Connemara 12 Year Old is a peated whisky, which means that peat smoke was used in its production process instead of hot air in order to stop the malting of the barley. This product is mostly associated with Islay island in Scotland, where luxury beverages such as Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg appeared.
