Whisky Akashi Blended White Oak, 40% alc., 0.5L, Japan
Akashi Blended Whisky is a Japanese blended whisky which has been the object of strong controversy. The beverage bottled for the Japanese market is made of malt whisky and molasses alcohol, which could not be classified as whisky in the EU. The export version of Akashi Blended is made of malt and grain whisky, thus yielding an exceptional blended whisky which boasts that famous Japanese quality.
Akashi Blended features a peanut chocolate smell with notes of lemongrass and slightly peppery grain accents. It tastes of cherries and nuts, with accents of sweet grains and a dust of nutmeg and black pepper. The finish is medium and somewhat sweet, with notes of dried apricots and barley.
