J & B history began in 1749 when the young Italian Bologna Giacomo Justerini, traveled to London to win the heart of a beautiful opera singer Margherita Bellino. Refusal opera singer led him to become an enamored young wine merchant, with a business partner, George Johnosn. In 1831 Alfred Brooks Johnson family purchased the company and renamed it Justerini & Brooks.
